  1. The Promoters

    1. The promoters are RMP Enterprise Ltd of Unit 1.01 Piano House Brighton Terrace, London, United Kingdom, SW9 8DJ, and Allen & Overy LLP, One Bishops Square, London, E1 6A, United Kingdom.

  2. The competition

    1. The ‘Allen & Overy; Get To Know You’ competition consists of one stage, signing up and letting us know why you want to win a luxury weekend away.

    2. By entering this competition, you are indicating that you have read and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  3. How to enter

    1. The competition will run from 12pm (London time) on Friday 20 January 2023 (the "Opening Date") to 12pm (London time) on Friday 24th February 2023 (the “Closing Date“)inclusive.

    2. All entries must be received by no later than 12pm (London time) on the Closing Date. All entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.

    3. To enter the competition, submit the online entry form provided on this website by the Closing Date.

    4. No purchase is necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the website.

    5. The Promoters will not accept:

      1. responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or 

      2. proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.

    6. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  4. Eligibility

    1. The competition is only open to all residents in the UK and Northern Ireland aged 18 years or older at the date of entry who are in current full-time study during the 2022/2023 academic year at a UK higher education institution listed here. Proof (in the form of student ID) and a university ac.uk email address will be required for checking and validation and to claim the prize.

    2. The competition is only open to those registering through the competition microsite. While all university year groups can enter, this competition is focused on final year students who will graduate in 2022.

    3. The following are not eligible to enter:

      1. any person who does not meet the eligibility criteria above;

      2. employees of the Promoters or its holding or subsidiary companies;

      3. employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoters or their holding or subsidiary or sister companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or

      4. members of the immediate families or households of (b) and (c) above.

    4. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoters may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.

    5. The Promoters will not accept competition entries that are:

      1. automatically generated by computer;

      2. completed by third parties or in bulk; or

      3. incomplete.

    6. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

    7. The Promoters reserve all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

    8. Competition entries cannot be returned. If you would like to save your entry, please print a copy before submitting it.

  5. The prize

    1. If you sign up, you will be put into a weekly prize draw to win a voucher related to health. One winner will be chosen at random every week from 20th January until the final winners on 24th February. Winners will receive

      1. Weekly prize of £250 AllForOne voucher 

      2. Grand prize winner of £1,000 AllForOne voucher

    2. Prizes are subject to availability. The Promoters reserve the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

    3. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

  6. Winners

    1. The competition entries will be put into a lucky draw and winners will be selected by RMP Enterprise based on the most engaging and original answers submitted  in full and who meet the eligibility criteria. The decision will be final.

    2. We will contact the winner using the email address provided with the competition entry, within 24 hours of the relevant prize draw, and the winner will have 24 hours from the time of that email to respond to the Promoter, to confirm acknowledgment of their win. If the winner does not respond within that time period, that winner’s claim will become invalid and the Promoter will approach another winner. For each prize, we will only approach 2 people. The second winner will be chosen at random.

    3. The prize  may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.

    4. The Promoters do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

  7. Limitation of liability

    1. Insofar as is permitted by law,  the Promoters, their agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoters, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  8. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights

    1. All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoters will become the property of the Promoters on receipt and will not be returned

    2. By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:

      1. assign to A&O all your intellectual property rights in it; and

      2. waive all moral rights to it.

  9. Consents and others’ rights

    1. You must ensure that:

      1. any images and other material in your submission is your own original work, is not defamatory of any other person, and does not infringe any other person’s rights (including privacy rights, copyright and trade marks).

      2. you have consent to use any third-party image in the entry and rights have been waived for that use. The image must not contain any person under 18 years of age, without the prior written consent of their parent or guardian.

    2. You will be asked to produce evidence of any required consents at the Promoters’ request, or risk being disqualified from entering the prize competition.

    3. You grant the Promoters the right, free of charge, to use, alter, or adapt the images and other materials in your submissions and for the Promoters to authorise others to do the same.

    4. You agree that the Promoters may, but are not required to, make your entry available on the A&O website and any other media, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. 

  10. Data protection and publicity

    1. (a) The Promoters will process your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy here and cookies policy here.

    2. (b) Any personal data relating to you will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without your prior consent.

  11. General

    1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoters may, at their sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

    2. The Promoters reserve the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

    3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
